Hospitality with tradition.

1447 the Schlosswirt was named “Tavern” belonging to castle and mastery Brannenburg.
In the 19th century the Schlosswirt was lodging for Artists like E. Schleich, Voltz and K. Raupp during the summertimes. Did you know Wilhelm Busch (Max & Moritz) stayed at the Schlosswirt in the summertime with his fellows during his “Munich period”? To honor him we founded the “Künstlerstüberl” (the artists room, a part of our restaurant).
1932 Dominicus and Franziska Daiser (grand-grandparents of the current host, Irmgard Schmidt-Widmann) bought the property.
Since then the Schlosswirt has been operated as a family business (4th generation now).
